Another two persons infected with COVID – News Room Guyana

Another two persons have been infected with the novel coronavirus and are now COVID-19 positive, based on information provided on Sunday through the Ministry of Health’s daily dashboard.

These two new cases were recorded after 130 tests were conducted. The total number of COVID-19 infections recorded locally since March 2020 has increased to 71,403.

Both infected persons, a male and a female, are from Region Four (Demerara- Mahaica).

Meanwhile, there is one patient in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Infectious Diseases Hospital but no person in institutional quarantine. One person is in institutional quarantine and 44 people are in home isolation.

Thus far, 70,076 patients have recovered from the virus but 1,281 people have died.
