Another 137 people, including 61 men and 76 women, were infected with the novel coronavirus and now have the disease, COVID-19.

The Ministry of Health, in its daily COVID-19 dashboard on Saturday, detailed that 68,867 cases have been recorded overall in Guyana.

The new cases were recorded in Region One (one case), Region Two (three cases), Region Three (five cases), Region Four (75 cases), Region Six (one case), Region Seven (eight cases), Region Nine (39 cases) and Region 10 (five cases).

Meanwhile, there are three patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 37 patients in institutional isolation and 974 patients are in home isolation.

To date, 66,589 people have recovered while 1,264 have died.
