The Friends of Lord Nel­son host­ed “A Mu­si­cal Evening with Lord Nel­son” held in his hon­or on Ju­ly 30, 2022, un­der the dis­tin­guished pa­tron­age of the Prime Min­is­ter, Dr. Kei­th Row­ley.

Lord Nel­son “Ne­lo” who turned 91 on Ju­ly 27 de­light­ed the en­thu­si­as­tic au­di­ence with hits such as “Lala Jam Back”, “Dis­co Dad­dy”, “King Liar”, “One Fam­i­ly” and “Meh Lover” which marked the end of the en­joy­able evening con­cert.

Shar­ing the stage with ca­lyp­son­ian Robert Nel­son “Lord Nel­son” were De­von Seales, Os­car B (Os­car Den­nis Ben­jamin), Ron­nie McIn­tosh, and Sig­nal Hill Alum­ni Choir, with mu­si­cal ac­com­pa­ni­ment by Er­rol Ince Mu­sic Mak­ers Or­ches­tra.

Na­tion­al Se­cu­ri­ty Min­is­ter Fitzger­ald Hinds pre­sent­ed a to­ken of ap­pre­ci­a­tion on be­half of the Gov­ern­ment and peo­ple of Trinidad and To­ba­go.

The event was pow­ered by the Min­istry of Tourism, Cul­ture and the Arts, NL­CB, Caribbean Air­lines, and Carib Brew­ery.
