2 temporarily closed schools to reopen

The Ministry of Education, Human Resource Development, Religious Affairs and Information informs the public that school resumes for the St Andrew’s School for Special Education and the Grenville Pre-Primary School, on Tuesday, 19 November 2019.

The Boca Secondary School will remain closed, as efforts are still being made to rectify the electrical problem.

This ministry again apologises for any inconvenience caused, as a result of the closures. Stakeholders will be duly notified of any further updates.

Wanted man charged for attempted noncapital murder

  • Charged with 3 offences including attempted noncapital murder
  • Remanded to Richmond Hill Prison

Police have confirmed that Triend Charles who was wanted for questioning in connection with a shooting incident, was charged on the weekend with 3 offences including attempted noncapital murder.

He made his first appearance at the St George’s Magistrate Court on Monday, 17 February 2020 and was remanded to Richmond Hill Prison. His other charges are possession of firearm and ammunition.

The Royal Grenada Police Force in a wanted man notice said that it was seeking the assistance of the general public in locating Triend Charles, 21-year-old, Unemployed of Vendome, St George.

He is scheduled to return to court in early March.

Missing Man: Devon Jeffrey | NOW Grenada

Police are seeking the assistance of the general public in locating Devon Jeffrey, 30 years old of La Mode, St George.

Jeffrey was last seen on Sunday, 16 February 2020 about 5:50 pm. He is approximately 5 feet 1 inch in height, medium built and dark in complexion.

Anyone seeing Devon Jeffrey or has any information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Central Police Station at 440 2245; CID at 440 3921; Police emergency at 911; police hotline at 444 1958 or the nearest police station.
