18 arrested in Southern Division for various offences

Anti-crime exercises in the Southern Division on Saturday led to the arrests of 18 people for various offences.

The exercises were coordinated by Snr Supt Richard Smith, Supt Carty, Supt Rampath ASP Jaikeran, Insp Phillip and directly supervised by Sgt Bacchus.

Officers of the Princes Town Police Station, Ste Madeline Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Marabella CID and Barrackpore CID and the Southern Division Task Force also assisted.

Offences ranged from possession of firearm and ammunition to robbery and fraud.

The following is a list of the arrests made:

1. A 24-year-old Princes Town man for enquiries re: Possession of Ammunition

2. A 39-year-old Princes Town man for enquiries re: Possession of Ammunition

3. A 19-year-old Indian Walk man for enquiries re: Larceny Dwelling house

4. A 38-year-old Princes Town woman for enquiries re: Larceny Dwelling house

5. A 35-year-old Williamsville man for enquiries re: Wounding with Intent

6. A 42-year-old Princes Town man for enquiries re: Larceny Dwelling House

7. A 32- year-old Williamsville man for enquiries re: Wounding with intent

8. A 32-year-old Fyzabad man for enquiries re: Outstanding Warrants and Escaping Lawful Custody

9. A 35-year-old Barrackpore man for enquiries re: Larceny Dwelling house

10. A 25-year-old New Grant man for enquiries re: Possession of Apparatus

11. A 54-year-old Moruga man for enquiries re: Possession of Firearm

12. A 61-year-old Moruga man for enquiries re: Possession of Firearm

13. A 30-year-old Moruga man for enquiries re: Possession of Ammunition

14. A 52-year-old Moruga man for enquiries re: Robbery

15. A 56-year-old San Fernando man for enquiries re: Assault by Beating

16. A 37-year-old San Fernando man for enquiries re: Driving with No Permit nor Certificate of Insurance

17. A 47-year-old San Fernando man for enquiries re: Warrant

18. A 27-year-old San Fernando man for enquiries re: Fraud

Enquiries are continuing.
