Excellent options for birdwatching, photography, trekking, and water activities, including swimming, snorkeling, and diving, as well as a variety of vibrant festivals and fairs, can be discovered on all of Guadeloupe’s islets. There are less crowded Caribbean islands that travelers can visit, and this is surely one of those. Visitors can have a unique travel experience in Guadeloupe. The Coral Garden allows visitors to catch a look at the colorful corals, including brain coral, elkhorn, and staghorn. 9/10 Guadeloupe National Park

Guadeloupe National Park offers everything for every type of nature enthusiast. Over a million people visit the park annually, which is also a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. Around 300 kilometers of hiking routes, the Col de la Matéliane, the La Soufrière volcano, and a large variety of plants and wildlife, such as 11 bat species and 100 kinds of orchids, are just a few of its numerous attractions. With native species, including the pearly-eyed thrasher, Lesser Antillean pewee, and black woodpecker, birdwatchers will appreciate the diversity here. Guadeloupe is an incredibly gorgeous spot to visit.

8/10 La Pointe Des Châteaux

A photographer’s paradise is La Pointe des Châteaux. This picturesque isthmus, where castle-like cliff outcrops protrude from the water, is located at Grande Terre’s easternmost point. The storm-tossed point’s wild splendor is similar to Brittany. From the settlement, a botanical trail leads to a viewpoint among massive black rocks. The islets of Marie-Galante, Petite-Terre, and La Désirade can be seen clearly from this location. Visitors can stroll next to an untamed, wind-tossed white sand shore. However, due to the rough waves, swimming here is the visitors’ own responsibility.

7/10 Zoo De Guadeloupe

Zoo de Guadeloupe is a well-known hilltop conservatory and natural reserve bordering Guadeloupe National Park. There are about 85 different animal kinds featured here, several of which are uncommon or threatened. The environment is what distinguishes this zoo. As people observe the animals, hiking routes, and suspension bridges wind via tropical rain forest to give the impression that they are far into the wilderness. Raccoons, tortoises, monkeys, snakes, jaguars, and parrots are just a few of the numerous animal species visitors can encounter here. Visitors will also be amidst palm trees, vegetation, and colorful tropical flowers. The rope footbridges also provide breathtaking vistas of the hilly landscape.

A tranquil botanical garden, Jardin Botanique de Deshaies, is on the northwestern shore of Basse-Terre, teeming with gorgeous tropical vegetation and various colorful bird species. The fish and the rainbow parakeets, which land on extended arms, are great for kids to feed. With the scents and hues of a tropical environment, visitors can allow themselves to be led through the various realms. A restaurant on a hilltop offers stunning garden views and the ocean.

La Désirade, French for “The Desired One,” undoubtedly hits the spot for tourists looking to get away from the bustle. On this serene island La Désirade, the oldest islet in the region and a former leper colony, is made of columnar rock. It is now a protected area for geological nature. The island is surrounded by appealing palm-lined coastlines like Fifi and Souffleur, while coral reefs guard its coastline. Popular local activities include swimming, diving, and snorkeling. Le Morne du Souffleur’s hiking track also offers breathtaking ocean views. During the tour, visitors will also encounter many goats and iguanas.

4/10 Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin Natural Reserve

A patchwork of blue lagoons, mangrove swamps, coral reefs, mudflats, seagrass meadows, and tiny islets make up this sanctuary. The preserve’s numerous habitats are home to an abundance of wildlife. Among the aquatic creatures are fish of astounding diversity, sea urchins, turtles, and enormous sponges. Birdwatchers can see herons, kingfishers, frigate birds, and pelicans, among other species. 3/10 Marie-Galante Island

There are many safe Caribbean islands with beautiful places to explore. The round, level isle of Marie-Galante is well-known for its stunning beaches. The island’s main industries are tourism and sugar farming, and visitors can observe the remnants of several windmills everywhere. Popular activities on Marie-Galante include hiking, swimming, and tanning. It’s also fun to experience the local culture and go to neighborhood events. The largest sugar estate in Guadeloupe when established in 1839 was Château Murat, whose eco-museum honors the cultural heritage of Marie-Galante, particularly the development of its sugar business. A renovated colonial palace, a windmill tower, the remains of a sugar industry, and a medical garden are also present on the site. Anse Canot and Feuillere Beach are among the island’s prettiest beaches, with pillow-soft white sand and azure sea.

2/10 The Beautiful Beaches

There are many Caribbean islands to visit in December, especially for beaches. In Guadeloupe, visitors can choose beaches with smooth, white, golden, or black sand. A magnificent stretch of sand and crystal-clear water can be seen at Plage de Grande Anse. It is among Guadeloupe’s most exquisite beaches. The beach, which has smooth golden sand and a lot of shady trees, is surrounded by beautiful headlands. Plage du Souffleur, among Grande-Terre’s picturesque beaches, abuts Port-Louis, a little fishing community on the archipelago’s northwestern coast. This scenic length of white sand and blue water is surrounded by sea grape bushes and coconut palms, providing several shady areas for people to spread out their towels.

1/10 The Natural Hot Springs

The Guadeloupe Islands have been the ideal location for rejuvenation. Visitors to the archipelago can indulge themselves in various therapeutic natural delights. Tourists must visit the mud and sulfur baths and the natural hot springs. The only location in Guadeloupe with naturally occurring thermal springs warmed by volcanic activity is Bouillante. The hot springs, where locals bathe in its warm, therapeutic waters, have long served as a pilgrimage destination. The hot springs in this part of Guadeloupe are a must-experience during a visit.
